We had an awesome vacation at the Oregon Coast for the 4th of July. I feel like I was meant to live by the beach, but instead we just go as often as we can, which is usually about once a year. We stayed at our dear friends’ beach house with them and my aunt and uncle and their kids. It was fabulous and they are always amazing hosts. We can’t wait to go back. The beach holds our hearts.
Treasures the kids gave me.There were hundreds of jelly fish that had washed up on shore, they looked fascinating up close, but were squishy to walk on.
My aunt and uncle… awww…Day 37/100What they do when I tell them to pose.
We headed back to the house that afternoon for some amazing crab and salmon that Uncle Tyler caught that morning.
Afternoon TV and naps..
Day 38/100 July 4th On the Parade route..
And one more trip to the beach before we left town. We stopped at Multnomah Falls on the way home, just past Portland. It made for a great way to spend the rest of our 4th of July.
We hiked up to a platform that hangs out over the top of the big falls and looked down. It was a bit scary! These are the falls above the falls.
The greenery in Oregon astounds me, I can’t get enough of it. We drove home that night and watched fireworks from the freeway in the towns we were driving by. We got home very late into the night and carried the kids inside. It took me several days to recover, but I can’t wait to do it again.
